The 174260-7 is a 4-position yellow double lock plate designed by TE Connectivity for use with Econoseal J Mark II+ cap (receptacle) housings. Acting as a terminal position assurance (TPA) component, it serves as a secondary locking mechanism to ensure terminals remain securely seated within the connector. Manufactured from high-strength polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), this component offers excellent durability, heat resistance, and flame retardancy (UL 94V-2). Suitable for harsh automotive environments, it operates reliably across a temperature range of –30°C to +105°C. Its bright yellow color allows for quick visual verification of installation, making it ideal for use in vehicle electrical systems where vibration resistance and secure connections are critical.
